In the process of sintering, the B/C of boron carbide decreases through the diffusion of free carbon between the powder and the boron carbide crystal. The Young's modulus of the sintered boron carbide increases with the increase of its bulk density, and the bending strength is related to the porosity and grain size. When the hot pressing temperature and hot pressing pressure are 2000-2100 MPa and 30-35MPa, the grain size of the sintered boron carbide is uniform, which is 3-5 μm.The relative density is 92%~98%T.D.;The bending strength is 400~500MPa.
